So, I worked on this project for many, many months. I learned how to 3d model and print things; I learned how to cut and shape metal; I learned how to MIG weld; I even learned how to make a wireless RC controller rig from scratch. But two days before I was going to receive the last part, the entire thing caught fire and exploded while all the missiles and the smoke bomb were connected to it, causing it to explode a second time, shoot projectiles in every direction, and produce a huge cloud of smoke. Here is what it looked like:

I had already made a copy of the cardboard shell out of metal and was going to weld it the very same day it exploded. All the systems worked; the missiles could shoot, the tank treads could be controlled wirelessly, the heat sink did its job; everything except one last ESC. But now it’s just a pile of melted plastic and metal covered with ash. Which is unfortunate. However, this project did teach me how to 3d print, weld, and many other things that will improve my future projects.
