After grinding 65% KNO3(potassium nitrate) and 35% sugar by weight into fine powders with a mortar and pestle, I mixed the two powders thoroughly until they formed a homogenous mixture. Then I poured the mixture onto an outdoor induction heater set to very low heat, mixing constantly and taking the pan on and off the heat to prevent combustion. After the entire mixture turned brown and viscous, I scooped it into a bit of tin foil and added a fuse and a bit of primer powder(KNO3, sugar, sulfur, charcoal, and titanium sponge). I later found out that the primer was unnecessary to get it going; all I needed was a small cannon fuse.
